It is with much joy that I say yes to continuing to provide the daily Prayer Prompts that were so well received during September, when Unity and New World Unity focused on prayer for the entire month.
The prayer prompts, a short Truth quote or Bible verse, were sent via e-mail and were offered in September as a suggested way to "prompt" your prayer or journaling time. Many people reported enjoying receiving them.
If you have been receiving the prayer prompts and wish to continue to receive them, do nothing. They will begin again on Monday, Oct. 9. If you would no longer like to receive them, please send me an email (afnomads@aol.com) and I will take your name off the mailing list. If you would like to begin receiving them, send me an e-mail, and I will add your name to the list.
I greatly appreciate the positive feedback you've given me about the prompts. And, I'd like to extend an invitation for you to share your favorite quotes or Bible verses or other Truth statements with me so that I can share them with the community. Whenever you read or see something that resonates with you, share it with me -- I'm sure it will benefit someone else when they receive it as well.

In The Revealing Word, Charles Fillmore, co-founder of Unity, describes prayer as "the most highly accelerated mind action known." He also shares that the practice of prayer establishes a consciousness where doubt cannot enter.
The Prayer Ministry consists of the Prayer Request Team, Partners in Prayer, and the World Peace Meditation. The Prayer Request Team is a committed group of people who receive weekly a list of names to be held in prayer for 30 days. That list is then sent to Silent Unity where the names will be held in prayer for 30 more days. It is joyful service to hold these names in prayer and know that highest and best is here and now.
The names to be submitted to the prayer team are left in a prayer box at each Sunday Celebration. We ask for first names only as God knows the rest. You can leave your request in the prayer box at our Sunday Service, or you can

Partners in Prayer is an opportunity for two individuals to connect daily in prayer. Our format was developed to give people an opportunity to pray together in a meaningful, yet simple, way. To help this connection flow with ease and grace, New World Unity has co-created a Prayer Card to guide you through a simple, affirmative prayer. It doesn't even require the partners to be in the same room or the same state. It can easily and effectively be done over the phone.
The World Peace Meditation is held before each Sunday Celebration at 10:00 am. The meditation lasts for 20 minutes. This time provides a centering opportunity to be in the absolute knowing that Peace is now and begins with each of us. The blessing that comes from knowing peace in our community and in the world is truly a gift to experience.
